What I can do against fear, when I sail alone?

Hey, I'm studying abroad in New Zealand. Since I learned a little surfing in Europe and I decided to buy a surfboard in Christchurch. Unfortunately, I have to take the bus every day and hour and half trip to the beach. I found good friends in New Zealand, but none for surfing, so I'm basically alone. After the long bus ride training, conditions are sometimes bad rain and cold. The result is offline. But I love surfing. Sometimes the waves are higher and I have fear of going alone and waves. My two questions: What I can do against fear? I mean I'm not a cat, but I am with respect for the sea after he was beaten badly by large waves of 3 meters twice in my life. The second: Is it weird to go alone? I mean I'm not a nerd. I have many friends, but none to go surfing and I do not want to miss the experience. All the best

are just getting started surfing, I have to ask: "How is your pool?" If you break the strap, would it be able to swim back in full security? Note that "The sponsorship system is safer, but if you do not have anyone to sail with it, must navigate alone.
