Need help choosing a surfboard?

Hello, I am "and 6'3 190 pounds. Sailed in southern California over the waves are knee to slightly more than shoulder height. I bought a card that I thought it was floating. It is 7 feet 21, 2 3 / 4 m13 Channel Islands. For some reason I can not get speed to catch waves. I'm not that great surfer that could be the problem. But I'm finding fish menu, and you can not get a table long. I was wondering what is good as a board that is easier and is able to capture most of the waves for IC tried Pod, ceramics, and others as the board Lost Fish, I'm leaning towards because I found on Craigslist is a good 6'2 "20, 2 1 / 2 also suggest that some people make more of 5 10 because it is not practical enough .. but I fear it will not float or paddle quite well. I'm leaning toward something 6'2 "Someone has a board in this situation?

What experience do you have? What we need a surfboard that floats well enough to paddle and catch a wave at its current to its current size of skill. We are not far enough for you, or when you surf. And we have no possibility of dialogue. And it has to be perfectly honest about its real capacity.
